For the transition of The Morons to Micks Mode,  Mike Goward traded his bass guitar in for the microphone stand and took on the roll of frontman whilst Phil Rudd, cousin of Tea Time Four bassist Bernie Rudd slipped into the vacant bass slot having previously been playing with The Young Ones

 

One of the groups first jobs was a warm up slot to PJ Proby at the Kings Lynn Corn Exchange along with The Tea Time four. The group were taken under the wing of Bernie Barton who had recently left The Tea Time Four and started his own Management agency. The group turned professional and started to travel the country. In [date required] the departure of Micheal Turner went un-replaced and the group became a quartet

Under the management of Kenny Lynch, Yes Thee…. Kenny Lynch. The band turned professional in [date required] but it was a journey of frustration, the old adage so close yet so far rings a bell. The band had recorded and were already to make a record when there was a copyright hic-up the hi-cup being that the writer (not a member of the band) had stolen the tune, sounding very simular to a Lesley Gore number. The group folded in [date required], leaving Mike, Ced & Colin to go on and form the group Special Offer
