Formed by Beckley and Thomas, the band created the sound of the early psychobilly pioneers such as The Deltas and The Ricochets. Standout features of the group were the powerful voice of Thomas and some unique experimental guitar sounds. The fortunes of ST picked up after signing to German record label Cherry Red, which resulted in them producing their debut album Tearin' Up The Road (2001) at the legendary rockabilly studio, Western Star, in Somerset.
