Mick Corbyn's departure in [month required] in [year required] meant that Malcolm Hooper was the only original remaining member of top Norwich beat group The Jetblacks

In June 1966 the Norwich Jetblacks had won their way to the final of the Melody Maker band competition to be held at London's infamous Palladium Theatre. It was at this point that the band decided to change their name because there was already a band in America playing under the name of the Jetblacks and on the eve of the final changed their name to The Versions

Much of 1967’s diary was filled with a Robert Stigwood summer season promotion at the Brittania Theatre appearing with Freddie & The Dreamers. Malcolm left to get married in 1967 [confirmation required] and that juncture the band recruited Ex-Organised K-oss frontman Pete Reynolds and became the Precious Few
