Formed in North Walsham the main contingent of the band had started life as the skiffle band The Tremors. Pete Allsop a North Walsham shop worker became the groups frontman in the guise of Pete Angelo. The band soon had a strong following in their home town as well as playing the big city circuit. The bands premature dimise came when John Kennady & Jimmy Lawes left to join the established Norwich band Ricky Lee & The Hucklebucks. In return ex Hucklebucks Trevor Preston & Johnny Pratt fulfilled the groups remaining dates. To conclude the Hucklebucks connection guitarist Barry Holden also went on to join them in late 1963. In the Escorts short exsistence the band performed numerous village hall gigs and even backed destined tongue in cheek chart toppers The Barron Knights at the Royal Hotel in Lowestoft on the 24th January 1964, just prior to the group disbanding. The groups conclusion marked the end of Johnny Pratts reign as one of the areas finest pioneer rock drummers, self taught he had been one of the driving forces behind the rise of The Continentals. He sold his kit soon after the bands last gig and has never returned
