The band came about as the final chapter in the life of Ricky Lee and the Hucklebucks. The band had stabalized through the early days of line-up changes and had played under the headings New Generation highlighting the bands harmony qualities and then back to The Hucklebucks for a brief spell before becoming DJangoes Castle. Frontman Ricky Lee had got married in 196? and was winding down his playing days. When Ricky left in 19?? The band then became known as Murphy.
The band came in several guises and line-ups. last line-up known was advertised in the paper in March 1978 (later reunions not included) and was advertised as: Andy Field, Harvey Platt and Stewie Mac [EEN]
