All the groups members had played throughout the beat era with veteran Woodcock having been an original skiffle kid. The groups debut gig was billed as The Regency Floor Show (later to be truncated to Regeny) and in December 1970 get off to a flying start winning the Watneys Brewery Talent Contest at the The Canary PH, Nch However the group soon folds and members join up with ex Flight 69 frontman Donny Wright and become The Drifters. Regency reform around 1975.
